A Note from the Chairman

The first half of 2019 has been a period of strong growth for our North American Section. We are up to 155 members as of mid-August. In July we hosted two more events, in Atlanta and Boston.  Looking forward, we have several fall events taking place in New York, Southern California, Miami and Montreal. We also look forward to introducing a regular webinar calendar of events to supplement our regional events program, from the start of 2020. We welcome James Little of Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP to the Board in the role of Digital Events Director, and we encourage you to reach out to him if you are interested in presenting a webinar over the next few months. Francis Sirard of Examine, one of our Regional Directors in the Canada East Region, is also working on a French translation of our SCL North America materials.

SCL NA is also part of the planning committee for the SCL International Conference in New Zealand in November 2020. Please visit the conference website (link below) and register your interest.

Following the success of the prestigious essay prizes of our international colleagues including the Hudson Prize in the UK and the Brooking Prize in Australia, we have launched our Hardhat Paper award.

Help us spread the word about SCL NA by connecting with us on LinkedIn and Twitter and speaking with nonmembers  about our Section and  upcoming Section events.
