Delay and Concurrent Delay: Whose Claims are Left Standing?

The Society of Construction Law - Prairies Chapter warmly invites you to a panel discussion (online webinar) titled ‘Delay and Concurrent delay: Whose Claims are left Standing?’.

Most disputes in construction involve a substantial element of asserted delays, and allegations of concurrent delay are also inevitable.  But what is concurrent delay? Does it matter if the non-delaying party paces its work during the delay period? What happens if the non-delaying party reschedules activities to account for a delay? And what happens if a different contractor causes a delay at the same time? How is causation and associated responsibility apportioned?

This webinar will explain the most common industry definitions of delay, pacing and concurrent delays and provide guidance on how the courts deal with these topics. We will also provide some practical examples.

This one-hour session will be of interest to arbitrators, legal practitioners, contract management, claims professionals and all construction related personnel.
